The “Yellow” building of the Educational and Research Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv was heavily damaged as a result of a massive attack on Kyiv in October 2022.

In 2022-2023, the University repaired the damaged classrooms on its own, with the support of partners and concerned alumni. As of 2024, there was still an urgent need to equip them with modern desks.

Thanks to our caring alumni and friends who came to the rescue in a difficult moment and acted as patrons, this need has been covered.

On April 10, 2025, the grand opening of the modern classroom took place. All the participants of the event appreciated the comfortable atmosphere of the well-equipped classroom, and even remembered themselves as students – they were able to sit at the new desks. They exchanged positive impressions, recalled their student life, received souvenirs and gratitude.
